SAN DIEGO -- The Padres will open their 32-game Spring Training schedule with their annual charity game against the Mariners on March 4 at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Ariz.
The Cactus League schedule includes two exhibition games against the Royals, one at 7:05 p.m. PT on April 3 at PETCO Park. The second game against the Royals will take place on April 4 at 2 p.m. at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore, Calif.
The Padres then return to PETCO Park on April 5 for the regular-season opener against the Dodgers at 3:35 p.m.
Pitchers and catchers will report to Peoria on Feb. 19 with their first workout set for the following day.
Position players are scheduled to report on Feb. 24 with the first full-squad workout set for the following day.
The Padres will play 16 games as the home team at the Peoria Sports Complex.
Tickets for all Spring Training games at the Peoria Sports Complex will go on sale on Jan. 7 at 8:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at www.padres.com, via phone at 800-677-1227, or in person at the Peoria Sports Complex Box Office.
