SAN DIEGO -- For the seventh consecutive season, Padres fans will get a look at some of the organization's top Minor League players when the Class A Lake Elsinore Storm faces Inland Empire in a game on Wednesday at PETCO Park.
Lake Elsinore and Inland Empire, members of the California League, will face each other approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Padres game against Arizona, which begins at 12:35 p.m. PT.
The Padres-Diamondbacks game is the last of seven two-for-one ticket days presented by BULLFROG. Fans can purchase two-for-one tickets in four sections as well as two-for-one hot dogs.
One ticket is good for admission to both games. Tickets can be purchased at the PETCO Park advanced ticket windows, at padres.com, by phone at 877-FRIARTIX and at all participating PETCO locations.
Tickets are also available through the Storm by calling 951-245-HITS or by visiting the Storm ticket office at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore.
The Storm currently owns a 35-29 record and is tied for second place in the South Division, 3 1/2 games behind Lancaster. The Inland Empire 66ers, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, are 34-30.
Allan Dykstra, the Padres' No. 1 draft pick out of Wake Forest, recently joined the Storm. He is hitless in his first seven professional at-bats.
Outfielder Cedric Hunter is second in the California League with a .325 in batting average. He has 11 home runs and 80 RBIs in 129 games. Teammate Eric Sogard is fifth in the league with a .312 average and leads the league with 41 doubles.
On the pitching side, Nathan Culp is second in the league with 13 victories. He's 13-8 with a 3.87 ERA.
