Padres adjust rotation, move up Stults
SAN FRANCISCO -- With Andrew Cashner shut down for the rest of the season, manager Bud Black waited until Saturday to name his starter for Sunday's series finale against the Giants, tabbing Eric Stults to move up in the rotation.

Stults had initially been slated to pitch Tuesday but will jump up a spot in the Padres' rotation, which had consisted of six pitchers before Cashner was shut down because of a strained right lat muscle.

Black did not commit to what his rotation will look like in the remaining games of the season, even opening the possibility of having Anthony Bass rejoin the rotation from the bullpen to start a game.

"A lot of things that I have said, for some of them, I'd like to change," Black said.
