Padres Announce Opening Day Sellout Against The Dodgers

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres announced today that Opening Day against the Los Angeles Dodgers is sold out, with the exception of a limited number of single seats.

First pitch on Tuesday, April 9 is set for 3:40 p.m., with the Opening Day pregame ceremony scheduled to begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. All gates, including Park at the Park, open to fans at 1:40 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive an Opening Day t-shirt presented by Sycuan. In addition, the first 25,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2013 schedule cling presented by Aladdin Bail Bonds. Additional information surrounding Opening Day festivities, game details and transportation recommendations will be released at a later date.

The entire first homestand promises to be full of rivalry and excitement. Tickets for the additional two opening series games against the Dodgers and opening weekend against the Rockies are selling fast. Arrive early on Friday and enjoy the Ultimate Cookout at Park at the Park, featuring live pregame entertainment, drinks and BBQ. The first 25,000 fans in attendance at Saturday's 5:40 p.m. game will receive a Chase Headley Bobblehead presented by FOX Sports San Diego, and Sunday marks Military Opening Day presented by Northrop Grumman.

Tickets for the remaining 80 home games, including two more opening week matchups against the Dodgers, can be purchased at the Petco Park box office, online at www.padres.com, by phone at 619.795.5555, at the Padres Store in Tijuana, and new this year, at all Ticketmaster locations.
