LOS ANGELES -- Padres center fielder Cameron Maybin, who has missed the last 45 games due to a right wrist impingement, was reinstated from the disabled list on Thursday.

Maybin will be in uniform in Denver, where the team begins a four-game series.

Yonder Alonso was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Saturday.

Maybin played in nine games during his Minor League rehabilitation stint with Tucson, hitting .323 in 31 at-bats with three home runs, four RBIs and an .447 on-base percentage. He played his last game with Tucson on Tuesday, going 3-for-6 with a home run.

Maybin sustained the injury making a difficult catch at Dodger Stadium in April. He considered having surgery but opted against it. Maybin could revisit the idea following the season. That same wrist has troubled him in each of his first two seasons with the Padres.

Maybin is hitting .091 in 33 at-bats with six strikeouts. In his absence, the Padres have used Will Venable, Alexi Amarista and Chris Denorfia in center.
