SAN DIEGO -- The Padres announced on Monday that all seven members of manager Bud Black's coaching staff will return for the 2014 season.

The club's coaching staff includes pitching coach Darren Balsley, bench coach Rick Renteria, third-base coach Glenn Hoffman, first-base coach Dave Roberts, hitting coach Phil Plantier, assistant hitting coach Alonzo Powell and bullpen coach Willie Blair.

Balsley recently completed his 10th season with the Padres. He is the second-longest-tenured pitching coach in the National League behind the San Francisco Giants' Dave Righetti.

Renteria has spent the last six seasons on the coaching staff, and the last three as the Padres' bench coach. Darren Smith of XX 1090 in San Diego reported on Monday that the Cubs will interview Renteria for their vacant managerial position. In the winter of 2010, Renteria interviewed for the Blue Jays' managerial opening. He managed Team Mexico in this year's World Baseball Classic.

Hoffman, the older brother of former Padres All-Star closer Trevor Hoffman, will return for his ninth season as third-base coach. This will be the elder Hoffman's 16th season as a coach at the Major League level and his 39th year overall in professional baseball. Hoffman works with the team's infielders.

Roberts just completed his third season as the Padres' first-base coach. He served as special assistant to baseball operations for the Padres during the 2010 season and works with the team's outfielders and baserunners. The Padres have stolen a Major League-leading 443 bases since Roberts joined the staff prior to the 2011 season.

Plantier and Powell will both enter their third seasons as the Padres' hitting coach and assistant hitting coach, respectively. The two joined Black's staff prior to the 2012 season and have overseen the development of such top position players.

Blair will return for his second season as the Padres' bullpen coach and his second coaching at the Major League level. Blair was previously the pitching coach for Class A Fort Wayne, one of the Padres' two Class A affiliates, before joining the staff last winter.
