Padres announce 2014 Cactus League Spring Training schedule


SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres today announced their 2014 Cactus League Spring Training schedule, in what will be the club's 21st spring in Peoria, Ariz. The club will announce three exhibitions following Cactus League play to be played March 27-29 at a later date.

Padres pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Peoria on Thursday, February 13, with their first workout scheduled for Friday, February 14. Position players are scheduled to report on Tuesday, February 18, with the club's first full-squad workout on Wednesday, February 19. The team will begin its 32-game spring schedule with the annual charity game on Thursday, February 27 as the designated road team against the Seattle Mariners at the Peoria Sports Complex. 

The club will open the 2014 regular season at Petco Park against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday, March 31. 

The complete Spring Training broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

The Padres and Peoria Sports Complex will once again offer a fun experience for the whole family in 2014, including several promotions, exciting new food options and great Spring Training baseball action. 

Tickets for all Padres games at Peoria Sports Complex will go on sale Saturday, January 4 at 8 a.m. PT. Tickets may be purchased online at www.padres.com/spring, by phone at 800-677-1227, or in person at the Peoria Sports Complex box office. Individual game tickets are priced from $7 to $28 with discounts available for group purchases and season ticket packages.
