SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres, along with Delaware North Companies, Inc. and Seaside Market today announced the Cardiff-based specialty grocer will open a Petco Park location for the 2014 baseball season. Seaside Market at Petco Park will debut on Opening Night, Sunday, March 30. The market will be located on the main concourse near section 105.
"We're excited to welcome another popular local business into the Padres family," said Padres Vice President Concessions and Retail Scott Marshall. "Seaside Market is going to provide our fans with more fresh, healthy and gluten-free food options than they've previously had. On top of that, shopping at a specialty market inside of a ballpark, and being able to take their items to their seats or to Park at the Park for a picnic, will be unlike anything Padres fans have ever experienced."
"DNC is very fortunate to have partnered with Seaside Market," said DNC Sportservice's Petco Park General Manager Josh Pell. "Having a market in the ballpark will allow us to serve several new, healthy food options as well as gourmet dishes not commonly found in sports venues."
"We're looking forward to opening a Seaside Market location inside of Petco Park and offering Padres fans the same fresh, high quality products that our Cardiff store customers have come to appreciate over the past three decades," said Seaside Market Owners Pete and John Najjar. "Locals support locals, and we are thrilled to partner with San Diego's hometown team. Always support your community!"
Seaside Market's ballpark location will offer a hot bar, flatbreads, a sandwich bar, cold salads and fruit, as well as fresh juice, organic sodas and craft beers. Family-owned and operated since 1985, Cardiff Seaside Market has maintained a commitment to offering superior products and spectacular service. Patrons of the ballpark market can expect the same quality products and excellent service.
Seaside Market is just one of many Petco Park concessions enhancements the Padres and DNC Sportservice have partnered on for the 2014 baseball season.
