Despite earlier reports that Quentin would head to Arizona on Monday when the club will begin a road trip in Milwaukee, manager Bud Black said the plan was always for Quentin to leave later in the week.
"I think he's going to go on Thursday or Friday," Black said. "He's going to start doing baseball activities over there. He'll go out and practice with that group and do on-the-field drills, batting practice. We have our trainers and therapists over there."
Black added that following some time in Arizona, Quentin will begin a Minor League rehab assignment before rejoining the big league club.
"Probably at some point over there he might even get in some games, maybe DH to get some at-bats there," Black said. "When he goes through that process, then he'll go out on a rehabilitation assignment."
