Padres' Chad MacDonald to leave organization


SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres today announced Vice President/Assistant General Manager of Player Personnel Chad MacDonald has informed the club he will be departing the organization to pursue other opportunities in baseball, effective immediately.

"We thank Chad for his contributions to the Padres over the past three seasons," said Padres President and CEO Mike Dee. "We wish him well in his future in Major League Baseball."

"I've enjoyed my time with the San Diego Padres, and I feel good about the players we have added to our minor league system," said MacDonald. "I wish the entire Padres organization success."
