Aybar may miss rest of season with broken foot

Foul balls have not been kind to the Padres in recent weeks. Shortstop Erick Aybar, already on the disabled list with what was thought to be a right foot contusion, actually sustained a broken foot on Friday, manager Andy Green said before Monday night's game against the Mets.

Padres' Cordoba exits with left hand contusion

Padres shortstop Allen Cordoba exited in the third inning of Saturday's game against Detroit with a left hand contusion after he was hit by a 89 mph sinker from Tigers right-hander Anibal Sanchez.
